It's not that I don't know where my seat is, but it would be nice to be shown to the seat and offered that bubbly beverage without a wait. Similarly, whilst the seats are semi-private I don't really feel that there is any effort to ensure that my glass remains full. In First Class a half-full glass ...

Qantas First
When the Qantas crew are good, they are amazing and you truly have the best flight. 1 in 3 flights are fabulous. 1 in 3 are good. 1 in 3 are average. Great food and superb Oz wines. Seat the same as BA (that's good!) but with a dash less privacy. Good product and great lounge in Sydney.

Lufthansa First
A severely outdated seat perhaps, but an overall great product. Crew, once they lose the somewhat stern initial touch, are very friendly and efficient. The open cabin design on the upper deck facilitates the constant filling of my glass and if my glass never dries out I am a very happy traveller. ...

Malaysia Airlines First
on: B747-400
I have always enjoyed Malaysian First Class. The seats are the same as Thai and Swiss and others with a comfortable seat and the oh so amusing electric ottoman with storage underneath for the excess magazines, amenity pack, and other debris. Both seated and for sleeping the seat is excellent and ...

Singapore Airlines First
Singapore Airlines offer a reliable, high-quality product. Seats on the 747, 777-300ER and A380 are good. Those on the 777-200 and 777-300 are a bit of an embarrassment. It's odd to have effectively 4 different classes of First Class product. Service is always professional and attentive, often ...

Swiss First
The Swiss First product is excellent. High quality food and drink, great Bally amenity kits, comfortable private seat and special ground services. The champagne and wines are generally of a Swiss bias for obvious reasons - I have to say I have never had a bad one! The Swiss dessert wines in ...

Thai Airways First
Thai First Class promises a lot but sadly delivers little. The priority check-in is generally not as promised and you are often overlooked when the staff spot one of their own Royal Orchid Gold members. Great if you are one, less so if you are paying a First Class fare and pushed aside while they ...

Cathay Pacific First
on: B747-400 Three-Class (74A)
Cathay Pacific crew provide for me the ideal between the professional (unfriendly?!) but exceptionally efficient service of Singapore Airlines and the chatty buddiness of Qantas at their best. Cathay crew are superb at never letting my glass be empty, of always being attentive, of being friendly ...
